Keller is a suburban city in Tarrant County. The most recent census population estimate in 2019 came in at 47,213. Keller is mostly residential, featuring more than 300 acres of developed land for 11 award-winning park sites and more than 26 miles of hiking and biking trails. The Parks and Recreation department also runs The Keller Pointe, a popular fitness and aquatics facility; keeps older residents having fun at the Keller Senior Activities Center; and organizes nearly 40 special community events annually.
Keller Pointe offers over 92,000 sqft of aquatic and fitness space. Amenities include indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, splash pad, cardio and strength equipment, free weights, an indoor track, childcare, and more. Both members and non-members are able to register for any recreational programs and special events. Adult and youth sports leagues, summer camps, dance lessons, personal training, holiday themed events, and more are offered at Keller Pointe.
The Keller Public Library is consistently rated one of the best public libraries in Texas. In addition to circulating more than a half-million books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs and other media annually, library staff organizes a popular Summer Reading Club and more than 500 programs for readers of all ages and abilities.
The Keller Farmers Market is also a big attraction. The open air, seasonal market is located by the creek in Bear Creek Park offers fresh produce, meats, tamales, baked goods, bread, and more! After the market visit, you can easily enjoy the relaxing walking trails and large parks in the area. The market runs every Saturday from May to late November, open rain or shine.
The Shannon Brewing Company is a local award-winning brewery with an open taproom open Wednesday through Sunday. Saturdays are an open house with guided tours. The brewery is also family and pet friendly.
Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club has a championship golf course that was carved from land atop the highest point in Tarrant County. The golf course is a par 72 at a distance of 6,953 yards.
