Rather not cook for Passover this year? These restaurants in Dallas and Fort Worth are offering special takeout menus and prepared dishes in honor of the Jewish holiday that starts on Friday, April 15:
TJ’s Seafood
Where: 4212 Oak Lawn and 6025 Royal Lane #110 in Dallas
What: For nearly 20 years, TJ’s has offered a special Passover takeout menu as well as prepared specialties such as charoset and flourless chocolate cake. This year’s takeout menu includes platters with smoked salmon or chardonnay-poached salmon, apricot-glazed chicken, and beef tenderloin, and sides like green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. TJ’s also grinds raw fish ready for making gefilte fish at home.
How to book: Order online. Pickup starts on April 13.
Eatzi’s
Where: Locations in Oak Lawn, Lovers Lane, Preston Royal, Plano, Grapevine, and Fort Worth
What: Eatzi’s menu for Passover Includes sweet and sour braised Angus beef brisket, citrus herb turkey breast, and salmon with a honey lavender glaze, along with sides like potato kugel, matzo ball soup, chicken liver spread, and rainbow carrots with brown sugar and fennel. Finish the meal with flourless chocolate cake with toasted meringue, baked apples in meringue, or coconut macaroons.
Cindy’s NY Deli
Where: Central, Campbell, Forest, and Downtown
What: This year’s passover menu at Cindi’s includes matzo balls, stuffed cabbage, gefilte fish, chopped liver, brisket with brown gravy, potato kugel, red horseradish, and honey cake. See all the options online.
Sea Breeze Fish Market & Grill
Where: LakeSide Market, 4017 Preston Road, Suite 530 in Plano
What: Using a passed-down family recipe, the team at Sea Breeze in Plano is making gefilte fish for Passover (using predominantly Lake Superior whitefish and walleye pike, with other seasonal fresh fish added). Sea Breeze gefilte fish will be sold in 3-ounce portions for $4.50 each.
