Although the menu fails to mention this, the bacon is marinated in jalapeño, so it’s hot, but it’s also delicious. Their queso burger is also yummy! And they make a mean frozen Whiskey and Coke too.” 5 Stars

3. Babe’s Chicken Dinner House – Southern, American (Traditional), Chicken Shop

Vincent S. – “Came here while attending a wedding in TX over the weekend. It was a really good experience.
I LOVED their chicken and chicken fried steak. I got both and the regular fried chicken was much better in my opinion. It comes with unlimited sides (salad, mac and cheese, cornbread, and other stuff). I reloaded twice on sides. Decent to good depending on how hungry you are–I was more than pleased.
It’s dim, casual, and a bit old in here. There’s also family-friendly music playing. The staff dances to funny songs and claps every so often in the middle of the room. Some of the kids and patrons join in, and, it’s actually really pleasant. I couldn’t help smile and clap too!
I couldn’t believe how cheap it was! Maybe bc I’m from the northeast, but wow, it was a good deal.” 5 Stars

9. American Revelry – Bars, American (Traditional)

Kathy V. – “Today marked my first–but not last!–visit to American Revelry. I went for lunch and ordered the Salmon Stir Fry. The portion was generous (I have some leftovers for my hubby to try); the salmon was crisp on the outside and pink in the middle, exactly as I ordered it. The vegetables were perfect; still crispy and not overcooked. The rice had exactly the right texture.

I brought home burgers and fries for the kids; even slightly reheated (and a couple of minutes in the air fryer for the fries), they were excellent. The brioche hamburger bun was to die for, the tomatoes were gorgeous, and the homemade pickles–somewhere between sweet and dill–were very good. I asked for medium-rare, and they were cooked exactly right.

Our server, Meredith, was very friendly and attentive; I liked her enough that I’d try to sit in her section next time I’m there…which will be soon! Hubby owes me a birthday/anniversary dinner, and I have my eye on the Akaushi Slow Roast Prime Rib.” 5 Stars

10. Jamaican Summers Eatery – Caribbean
Kyauna J. – “Listen, I’ve tried just about every Caribbean place in the DFW. This is it. This is authentic, seasoned to perfection. The chicken was fall off the bones. The curry goat was just enough spice to get the full flavor. The MEAT PATTIES was my favorite. We will definitely be back. This is weekly rotation worthy.” 5 Stars
